For whatever reason, sometimes marriages or civil partnerships come to an end. The breakdown in a relationship can often be a painful and difficult period. It is a time when sympathetic and professional advice is needed in order to allow all parties concerned to ease themselves through the process, particularly when children are involved.

If your relationship has broken down, we will clarify and advise you on the rights, responsibilities and obligations that exist between you and your partner. We will carefully assess each situation and then discuss the available options with you before recommending a course of action.

Obtaining an appropriate and satisfactory agreement for our clients is of course our primary aim. We find that it is often easier and quicker to reach an agreement by negotiating at a distance through solicitors, but we are happy to advise any client who wishes to discuss matters directly with their spouse or who might benefit from using a Mediator.
