Unfortunately not every transaction with a professional person proceeds without difficulty and mistakes can be made.  It can sometimes be difficult to find a Solicitor who is willing to take on the case to pursue compensation.

Stephen Blane, who is the Partner leading our Court Department is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in professional negligence law.  Drawing on experience and expertise in this area we can advise whether a claim for negligence and compensation can be made.

We can also advise on claims against other Solicitors.  The Law Society of Scotland set up the Pursuer’s Panel consisting of six Solicitors selected by the Society on the basis of their expertise in dealing with professional negligence claims.  The role of the Pursuer’s Panel is to assist members of the public with advice about negligence claims against Solicitors and, where appropriate, to assist Solicitors already advising members of the public in connection with the handling of negligence claims against other Solicitors.  Stephen Blane is one of the six Solicitors on the Pursuers Panel.
